Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to hone your accounting skills within a dynamic corporate environment. The successful candidate will support various financial functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting, utilizing leading accounting software. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about finance and eager to grow their expertise in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

Duties

- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Process vendor invoices, including purchase order matching
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely fashion
- Verify purchases using proprietary software and input data as needed
- Perform banking and credit card reconciliations and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy
- Support month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation processes
- Help prepare documentation for audits




- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation

Requirements

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
- Knowledge of account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping processes
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Familiarity with payroll and auditing procedures considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Prior internship or professional experience in finance or accounting
