We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Manual Lathe Machinist to join our production team. This position involves operating a manual lathe to machine a variety of hydraulic components, with a primary focus on hydraulic cylinder barrels and rods. While we provide training on our specific product line and manufacturing processes, candidates must have a solid working knowledge of manual machining and lathe operation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in producing quality work, works well independently, and enjoys being part of a team committed to meeting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a manual lathe to machine components from raw materials to finished products.
- Produce accurate, consistent work while maintaining precise tolerances and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency.




- Perform quality inspections on completed parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience operating a manual lathe is essential.
- Valuable understanding of manual machining practices and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and measurements in imperial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
