Grand Union Hotel is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated person to join our team as a Front Desk & Guest Services Assistant.

We are a small hotel where personalized service and teamwork make a difference. We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes initiative, and can work independently.

The Front Desk & Guest Services Assistant welcomes guests, supports smooth daily operations, and helps create a helpful, organized first point of contact. This role combines front desk coordination, guest services, and clear communication with visitors and colleagues.

Duties

- Welcome guests, respond to questions, and provide courteous customer service throughout their visit.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries.
- Manage reservations and room availability.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records.
- Assist guests with requests and provide information about the local area.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
- Help with general hotel operations when needed.




- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Support front desk tasks, communicate relevant updates to colleagues, and help address guest requests promptly.

Skills

Required: Transparent communication, professional phone etiquette, customer service, and the ability to manage front desk requests and use multi-line phone systems are practical capabilities for this role. Preferred: Hotel experience, guest services or hospitality experience, and bilingual or multilingual communication can help you support a wider range of guests and contribute confidently to a welcoming service environment.

Pay: $15.08-$20.00 per hour
