Job Description: Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

Diagnose issues related to control systems and industrial communications.

Participate in automation system modernization and migration projects.

Develop and improve Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation and iFIX applications.

Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks and communication protocols such as Ether

Net/IP, Modbus, Control

Net, and Device

Net.

Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to resolve issues and improve equipment reliability.

Participate in the programming, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.

Maintain up-to-date programs, backups, and technical documentation.

Identify and recommend improvements related to safety, reliability, and productivity.

Supervise the electrical technicians within the maintenance team Education College diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation and Control, or a bachelors degree in Automated Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience 6+ years of relevant experience Experience in industrial automation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs.

Experience working with multiple generations of PLC systems.

Experience with PLC or SCADA system migrations.

Experience commissioning recent equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000, iFIX, and HMI/SCADA systems.

Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and industrial instrumentation.

Knowledge of industrial networks and OT cybersecurity.

Basic knowledge of SQL databases and programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python for data extraction, troubleshooting, and tool development.

Valuable understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols, particularly Ether

Net/IP and Modbus.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics, as well as knowledge of AutoCAD.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, thorough, and well organized.





Ability to manage priorities effectively in a production environment.

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams as well as external vendors.

Language Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.

Proficiency in English is required, as the position involves regular communication with colleagues and partners located outside Quebec.

Travel Willing and available to travel to Ardent Mills facilities in Canada and the United States, as needed, to support various projects and initiatives, up to 15% of the time.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions Manufacturing environment that may be hot, cold, dusty, or noisy.

Clean-shaven face may be required for certain tasks involving the use of tight-fitting respiratory protection.

The starting range for this position is $83,300.00 - $111,074.70, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience.

Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.

While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
