Fritz-Alder Precast is a leader in innovative precast concrete solutions, serving a diverse range of customers with quality, precision, and technical expertise. We are currently seeking an experienced AZ Driver to join our team in Chepstow, Ontario.

What You'll Do

As an AZ Driver, you will be responsible for transporting precast concrete and heavy products safely and efficiently on local routes. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, loading and unloading product using appropriate equipment, completing required inspections and documentation, and working collaboratively with Yard Operations and dispatch to meet delivery schedules. The position requires a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

Duties

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
- Safely operate commercial AZ vehicles to transport precast products to specified destinations.
- Load and unload precast products using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate paperwork including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
- Perform yard shunting when required to support yard operations.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of all transported items.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks as required.
- Clean trucks and trailers daily.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and regulatory standards to support a safe and efficient operation.
- Be available for day and afternoon shifts,



with flexibility for early starts, extended hours, and night shifts when required to meet business needs.

Technical and/or Behavioral Skills/Competencies:

- Minimum 3 years AZ truck driving experience required
- Minimum 1 year flatbed experience required; experience with specialty inloader trailers transporting precast products will be an asset
- Able to complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Comfortable with loading/unloading and securing precast products safely
- Able to keep track of logs, paperwork, and delivery documents
- Good communication with dispatch, customers, and yard staff
- Works safely and follows traffic laws and company safety rules
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work alone or with a team
- Physically fit for the job (outdoor work, job sites, yard work, lifting straps/chains)
