Licensed Gas Fitter – Hot Water Tank Installer (Independent Contractor)

We are seeking a Licensed Gas Fitter (Independent Contractor) to provide gas hot water tank installation in Durham Region

- Install and replace residential gas hot water tanks
- Ensure all work complies with TSSA and local codes
- Safely connect gas, venting, water, and drainage systems
- Perform start-ups, testing, and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence on site
- Complete required job documentation
- service calls if necessary

Requirements

- Valid G2 Gas Technician license (Ontario)
- Demonstrated experience installing gas hot water tanks
- Strong knowledge of gas safety, venting, and combustion air requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Own tools required for installations

Independent Contractor Requirements





- Registered business
- Valid insurance and WSIB clearance
- Ability to navigate mobile phone apps and email

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with both tank and tankless water heaters
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to deliver and dispose of tanks when required

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $50.00-$100.00 per hour
