French Tutor-Mentor (Elementary & High School) – Winnipeg

Bonjour! TutorBright is seeking enthusiastic and experienced French-speaking Tutor-Mentors to support elementary and high school students throughout Winnipeg, with a particular need for tutors available in Northeast Winnipeg.

We are currently looking for tutors who are confident supporting French language learning, French Immersion coursework, and subjects taught in French, including Math, Reading, Writing, and Sciences.

This flexible, part-time opportunity allows you to create a schedule that works around your availability while providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring and mentorship that helps students build confidence, strengthen their language skills, and succeed academically.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized one-on-one French tutoring sessions for elementary and high school students.
- Support students with French reading, writing, speaking, grammar, comprehension, and assignments.
- Assist French Immersion and Francophone students with academic subjects taught in French, including Math, Science, and Language Arts.
- Help students with homework, test preparation, written assignments, and study skills.
- Adapt teaching strategies to match each student's grade level, French proficiency, learning style, and academic needs.
- Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping students build confidence and develop stronger learning habits.

Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French.
- Comfortable supporting elementary and/or high school students with French coursework.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-support experience is considered an asset.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

- Ability to provide in-home and/or online tutoring.
- Must be located in Winnipeg, with a strong preference for tutors available in Northeast Winnipeg.
- Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong French communication skills and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly in French.

Additional Assets:

- Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree program.
- Graduate of or currently enrolled in a B.Ed., B.A., B.Sc., French, Education, or related program.
- Certified Teacher.
- Experience supporting French Immersion or Francophone students.
- Experience tutoring elementary and/or high school students.
- Ability to tutor multiple subjects in French, particularly Math and Science.
