Overview

NCIndustrial Limited is seeking an experienced Millwright or Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario.

We provide industrial maintenance, mechanical repairs, equipment rebuilds, installations, and field services to customers throughout the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

This position offers a variety of hands-on mechanical work, both in our shop and at customer locations. We are looking for a dependable individual with strong mechanical abilities, positive troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to take on different types of industrial work.

While much of our work is performed locally during regular business hours, some projects require out-of-town travel, overnight stays, and shift work. Candidates must be comfortable with these requirements and have the flexibility to accommodate changing customer and project schedules when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and complete equipment repairs safely and efficiently.
- Perform mechanical equipment rebuilds, component replacements, and preventative maintenance.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Use precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Perform welding and basic fabrication tasks as required.
- Complete work in both shop and field environments, including customer industrial and mining sites.
- Work independently or alongside other tradespeople to complete assigned projects.




- Follow company and customer safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, repair, or millwright work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working with industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a crew.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to work safely in physically demanding industrial environments.

A Millwright trade certification is an asset but is not required. We welcome applications from experienced, mechanically skilled individuals who have developed their abilities through practical, hands-on industrial experience.

Additional Assets

- Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) certification.
- Experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environments.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and related industrial equipment.
- Experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, or other industrial equipment.

Work Schedule and Travel

Our work is driven by customer requirements, and schedules may vary depending on the project.

- Out-of-town assignments and overnight stays may be required.
- Afternoon shifts, night shifts, and weekend work may be necessary for certain projects.




- Occasional holiday work or short-notice schedule changes may occur.
- Work will take place at our Sudbury shop and at various customer locations.

The ability to accommodate out-of-town assignments and shift work when required is an important part of this position. We are looking for individuals who understand the nature of industrial field service work and can adapt to customer needs.

Customer Site Requirements

Some customer facilities have additional safety and security requirements that must be met before workers are permitted on site.

Depending on the assignment, these may include:

- Drug and alcohol testing.
- Criminal background checks.
- Site-specific safety training, orientation, and certifications.

Candidates must be prepared to meet applicable customer site-access requirements, including successfully completing any required screening or testing, as a condition of being assigned to those locations.
