To support patient access to medications, the remote Patient Support Advocate position for a Connecticut Licensed Pharmacy Technician will manage prior authorizations, assist patients with financial aid resources, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely medication therapy.
Key responsibilities Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals through prior authorizations Help patients access financial assistance and navigate pharmacy operating systems for data entry and claims processing Document patient interactions and collaborate with physicians' offices to ensure appropriate medication therapy Required qualifications Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience Connecticut State Registered and/or State Certified Pharmacy Technician High School Diploma or GED required Experience with insurance claims, medication access, or pharmacy operations preferred National certification (CPhT or equivalent) is strongly preferred but not required
