We are looking for an electroplater in Newmarket! $25-30/hour, based on experience.
Job duties:
- Applying metal coatings through the electroplating process.
- Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
- Tend automatic metal coating machines which convey objects through a series of cleaning, rinsing and plating solutions
- Operate and control electroplating equipment to coat metal and other work pieces
- Regularly inspect plated parts for defects like peeling, discoloration, or uneven coating. Implementing quality assurance protocols ensures that all products meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Maintaining plating equipment in valuable working order. This includes routine cleaning and troubleshooting
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with specification plating, including cyanide copper, nickel, gold, silver, and tin, as well as rack and barrel plating.
- A strong ability to focus on intricate details is essential for achieving high-quality finishes.
- A basic understanding of chemistry, particularly related to plating solutions and reactions, is important.
Familiarity with chemical safety protocols is also critical.
- Experience using plating baths, power supplies, and other related equipment is advantageous. Knowing how to operate and troubleshoot these tools is crucial for efficiency.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards. Understanding how to implement and monitor quality control measures ensures product excellence.
