Job Overview

- Position: Janitor / Cleaner
- Location: Thunder Bay, ON
- Type: permanent Part-time ( potential to full-time hours)
- Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

· Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.

· Sanitizing: Clean and disinfect restrooms, and high-touch surfaces.

· Waste Disposal: Empty trash daily.

· Restocking: Keep restrooms and supply areas stocked with necessary items.

Reporting any damage found or issues in the building.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 1 to 2 years of commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical Demand: Ability to walk up & down stairs and stand for long periods.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- part-time to full-time early morning Monday thru Friday
- Criminal Records Check mandatory

Duties:

- Clean floors, surfaces, washrooms, and other assigned areas using appropriate methods and supplies.
- Empty waste and recycling, replenish cleaning materials, and keep equipment stored safely.
- Check facilities for cleanliness or maintenance concerns,



complete basic upkeep, and report issues that need further attention.
- Follow established cleaning routines and handle supplies carefully to keep work areas organized. Your impact: Consistent cleaning and timely reporting help colleagues and visitors use well-maintained spaces.

Skills:

· Required: Practical cleaning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow routines and use cleaning supplies safely support dependable daily work. Basic facilities maintenance and general maintenance capabilities help you identify concerns and complete simple upkeep.

· Preferred: Commercial cleaning experience and familiarity with facilities maintenance are helpful strengths for working effectively across shared spaces and routine upkeep tasks. A reliable, organized approach supports consistent results and clear communication about issues requiring follow-up.
