To ensure efficient coding of inpatient medical records, the full time Ohio Licensed Inpatient Coding Manager will manage coding operations, monitor code assignments, and train coding specialists in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities Oversee the coding of inpatient medical records and ensure compliance with billing rules Monitor ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM/PCS code assignments for accurate billing and statistical purposes Train and support coding specialists while setting daily priorities and monitoring performance Required qualifications Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in hospital-based inpatient coding Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Administration or equivalent preferred Credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Health Information Administrator, or Certified Coding Specialist Experience with computer-assisted coding and revenue cycle analytics Collaborative experience with Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) and clinical departments
