About Blue Tortoise Acupuncture

Blue Tortoise Acupuncture is an established integrative clinic in Markham with 19 years of experience serving the community. We are a small, professional and patient-centred practice known for individualized care in a warm, respectful environment. Our services include Japanese acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, moxibustion and massage therapy. As the clinic grows, we are looking to add another Registered Massage Therapist to the team.

Responsibilities

- Provide professional, patient-centred massage therapy treatments tailored to each client’s needs, goals and comfort
- Complete appropriate intake, assessment, treatment planning and clinical documentation
- Maintain client confidentiality, hygiene standards and clinic protocols




- Communicate clearly with clients and provide appropriate aftercare recommendations within your scope of practice
- Use the clinic’s booking and scheduling systems to manage appointments effectively
- Be punctual, dependable and professional in all client and team interactions
- Collaborate with other practitioners and refer internally when appropriate

- A patient-centred treatment style that adapts pressure and technique to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach
- Someone comfortable educating clients and supporting appropriate rebooking and continuity of care
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Someone interested in building and growing a consistent caseload

Registration Requirements

- Current registration and good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
- Valid professional liability insurance
- Able to provide receipts for insured Registered Massage Therapy services

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting clients with chronic pain, injury prevention,



sports-related concerns, mobility, stress and muscle tension is an asset. Previous experience in a multidisciplinary or private clinic is helpful, but the right fit and approach to patient care matter most.

Language & Location

- Must be able to communicate effectively in English with clients and team members. French is not required.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Markham, Ontario, or plan to relocate before starting work.

Compensation & Daily Income Guarantee

We know that building a new caseload takes time, and we do not expect a new practitioner to absorb all of that uncertainty.

For agreed-upon clinic days during your initial ramp-up period, Blue Tortoise Acupuncture will provide a minimum daily earnings guarantee .

The guarantee is intended to provide income stability while you establish and grow your caseload. The length of the guarantee period, scheduled clinic days, treatment rate used for the calculation, and final compensation structure will be confirmed in your agreement.
