Join Our Maintenance Team

Original Foods is seeking a skilled, hands-on Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical systems, improving equipment reliability, and contributing to equipment installations, upgrades and capital improvement projects.

Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting, you will play an important role in maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime and supporting the ongoing improvement of our manufacturing operations.

We are also open to third- and fourth-year registered electrical apprentices who are motivated to develop their technical skills and gain valuable industrial manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical equipment and control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Diagnose issues involving motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, and industrial automation.
- Assist with electrical work for equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
- Investigate recurring electrical failures and recommend long-term corrective actions.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
- Follow all health and safety, electrical, and food safety requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification, or 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification with relevant industrial experience.
- Third- or fourth-year registered electrical apprentices are encouraged to apply.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial automation is an asset.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
