Journeyman Automotive Body Technician

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Body Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies to safe, high-quality, manufacturer-compliant condition while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect collision damage and determine the appropriate repair procedures.
- Remove, repair, replace, and align damaged body panels and structural components.
- Perform metal straightening, welding, panel fitting, and body filler application as required.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles and related components accurately and efficiently.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and automotive repair equipment safely.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures, workplace safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with estimators, painters, technicians, and parts personnel to support efficient repairs.
- Document repair progress and communicate any additional damage or required work.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and serviceable condition.

Qualifications

- Journeyman-level experience in automotive collision repair or vehicle bodywork.
- Strong knowledge of automotive body repair methods,



materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and complete repair estimates, technical instructions, and manufacturer procedures.
- Experience with welding, panel alignment, structural repair, and vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality repairs.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a repair team.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
