Job Overview

Our employer partner is seeking professional and dependable Security Guards (Reserve Team - Mission Critical Facility) to support operations at high-profile mission-critical facilities and data centres across the Greater Toronto Area.

This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, customer-focused, and capable of maintaining a secure environment while providing exceptional service to employees, contractors, and visitors. Successful candidates will play a key role in controlling access, conducting security screenings, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with site-specific policies and procedures.

These are casual/backup positions with the potential to lead to permanent employment opportunities.

Duties

- Control access to facilities and verify employees, visitors, and contractors entering the site.
- Conduct security screenings,



including wand searches and metal detection procedures.
- Monitor and control access to restricted and sensitive areas.
- Perform regular security patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and security concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.
- Enforce client-specific security policies and operational procedures.
- Provide professional customer service and support to employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Observe, identify, and report suspicious activities or security risks.
- Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Robust communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or challenging situations.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective report-writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to sit, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to obtain required reliability clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

Priority will be given to candidates who possess:

- Open availability for days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid G driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Three to four years of security experience, preferably in high-security environments.
- Experience working at data centres, critical infrastructure sites, or mission-critical facilities.




- Strong customer service experience.
- Ability to travel to various work locations, including sites not accessible by public transit.
