Job Overview

Caribbean Food Factory is looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Receptionist / Front Counter Attendant to join our team!

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming customers, processing orders, handling front-counter transactions, and supporting daily restaurant operations. You will play an important role in ensuring customers receive accurate orders and enjoy a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Take customer orders accurately, both over the phone and in person.
- Process payments and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Assist customers with takeout orders, pickups, and purchases.
- Prepare, package, and hand over customer orders efficiently.
- Ensure orders are accurate and properly packaged before pickup.
- Monitor and replenish packaging materials, utensils, and other supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary front counter and customer service area.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general daily restaurant operations as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns professionally.

Preferred:

- Previous experience in customer service, reception, cashiering, or food service.
- Experience working in a restaurant, takeout establishment, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.
