Accounts Receivable & Bookkeeping Coordinator

About Us

Skyluxe Roofing & Sheet Metal is an established and growing roofing and architectural sheet metal company specializing in high-end residential, commercial, and industrial projects across the Greater Toronto Area.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Accounts Receivable & Bookkeeping Coordinator to join our team.

The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, and comfortable following up with customers regarding outstanding payments while assisting with day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding customer balances.
- Proactively follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and payments.
- Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices and statements.
- Maintain accurate records of payments, deposits, and outstanding balances.
- Assist with accounts payable, expense tracking, and general bookkeeping.
- Enter and reconcile transactions using QuickBooks.
- Prepare weekly accounts receivable aging reports and collection updates.
- Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.
- Assist with progress billings, construction holdbacks, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain organized financial records and provide administrative accounting support as needed.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar accounting role.




- Experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and confidence following up on outstanding payments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Professional, dependable, and results-oriented.

The successful candidate will be comfortable picking up the phone, following up consistently with customers, keeping accurate financial records, and ensuring that outstanding payments do not fall through the cracks.

Previous experience managing collections for a construction company would be a significant asset.
