Job Overview

Augury Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) for a flexible part-time contract opportunity in Vernon, British Columbia.

This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist looking to supplement their income, maintain a flexible schedule, or take on additional clinical hours without a full-time commitment.

The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services within a long-term care environment, supporting residents in maintaining independence, mobility, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Evaluate residents' functional abilities, mobility, and activities of daily living.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices,



and environmental modifications.
- Support fall prevention, safe transfers, positioning, and mobility strategies.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide education and guidance to residents, families, and care staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and progress reports.
- Promote resident independence, dignity, safety, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
- Previous experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or rehabilitation is considered an asset.
- Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centred care.
