We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to support an elderly woman living independently in her apartment in Scarborough. She suffers from severe osteoporosis, resulting in frequent fractures that significantly limit her mobility. While she can move around her apartment with a walker, she requires assistance with daily activities to maintain her quality of life and independence at home.

About the Client: The client is a senior woman who values her independence but needs support due to her limited mobility. She currently has difficulty preparing meals and managing household tasks. She is described as someone who prefers staying in her home environment and would benefit from consistent, familiar care. She smokes and appreciates having someone to talk to during visits. Building comfort and trust with her caregiver is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious meals including breakfast and other meals during visits
- Light housekeeping and tidying up the apartment
- Occasional laundry assistance (every 2-3 weeks as needed)
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Monitor daily well-being and report any concerns to family
- Run errands as needed
- Assist with other household tasks to fill care time productively

Schedule:



Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (3 hours per day, 9 hours per week). The morning timing allows the caregiver to be present when the client is up and ready for breakfast. Schedule may be adjusted based on client needs and comfort level. This is a long-term position expected to continue ongoing.

The family is actively involved and visits regularly. They will be present for the initial visit to ensure a valuable fit and provide a thorough orientation to the home and the client's preferences. A lockbox system will be arranged for entry. The first two visits are considered trial visits to ensure compatibility.
