Job Overview

Health Care Assistants provide respectful, person-centred support with daily living, comfort, and wellbeing. The role may involve care in assisted living, nursing homes, or clients’ homes, supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities. You’ll help people maintain dignity, routine, and independence while working collaboratively with care colleagues.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, mobility, and safe heavy lifting in line with individual needs and established care plans.
- Support meal preparation, cleaning, and comfortable, tidy living spaces.
- Provide medication administration only as directed by care plans and applicable procedures; observe and report changes in wellbeing.
- Offer compassionate senior care, dementia care, and hospice care,



adapting support to each person’s preferences.
- Your impact: Consistent, attentive care helps clients feel secure and enables colleagues to coordinate support.

Experience

Required: Practical patient care, caregiving, clear communication, and attention to safety are important for supporting daily routines and following care plans. Preferred: Assisted living, nursing home, senior care, hospice care, dementia care, home care, or experience working with individuals with disabilities can strengthen your contribution.

Pay: $17.95-$39.04 per hour
