This position requires strong TIG and MIG welding skills, the ability to work independently from technical drawings, and extensive hands-on experience in custom metal fabrication.

We are looking for a skilled fabricator who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates excellent craftsmanship, and maintains high standards of quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on TIG welding experience, preferably with stainless steel and aluminum.
- Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience with mild steel and other metals.
- Minimum 2 years of custom metal fabrication experience, including fitting, assembling, and welding custom components.
- Minimum 2 years of on-site installation and site welding experience.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work independently from blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, including grinders, sanders, cutting tools, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, material preparation, measurement, and dimensional tolerances.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements, calculations, layout, fitting, and assembly.
- Forklift operating experience is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a solid sense of responsibility, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities

Metal Fabrication & Welding

- Fabricate, assemble, fit,

and weld according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metals and material thicknesses.
- Independently plan and execute fabrication tasks, including measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing.
- Ensure all fabrication work meets industry standards and company quality expectations.
- Perform on-site installation, fitting, adjustments, and welding when required.

Quality Control & Workmanship

- Inspect your own work throughout the fabrication process to ensure dimensional accuracy, proper fit, and acceptable finishing quality.
- Identify and correct fabrication errors before products proceed to the next production stage.
- Complete quality inspection documentation when required.
- Minimize material waste, scrap, and rework through proper planning and careful execution.

Production Efficiency & Workplace Responsibilities

- Complete assigned work efficiently and within established job standards and production timelines.
- Take responsibility for assigned projects from fabrication through completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Properly use and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
- Work effectively with supervisors, project coordinators, and other team members.

- Identify potential fabrication issues and communicate them proactively.
- Contribute ideas to improve fabrication processes, reduce production costs, and increase efficiency.
- Follow all company safety procedures and workplace standards.

Personal Attributes

We value candidates who demonstrate:

- Strong attention to detail: Consistently produce accurate, clean, and high-quality work.
- Accountability: Take ownership of assigned tasks, workmanship, and deadlines.
- Independent problem-solving: Identify fabrication challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Reliability: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
- Efficiency: Work with a sense of urgency without compromising quality.
- Professionalism: Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the team.
- Adaptability: Handle different types of custom projects and changing production priorities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced, well-rounded custom metal fabricator—not simply a production welder.

They should be capable of independently interpreting drawings, planning fabrication sequences, producing accurate and visually clean welds, troubleshooting fabrication challenges, and completing custom projects with minimal supervision.

Quality workmanship, productivity, responsibility, and the ability to work independently are essential for this position.
