Your day-to-day duties will vary depending on the project, ranging from softscaping to heavy hardscape installations. Core responsibilities include:
- Hardscape Construction: Assisting with stone patio, step, and retaining wall installations, including carrying/moving, stacking, laying and cutting stones/precast concrete products.
- Site Preparation: Shovelling, moving materials with a wheelbarrow, and raking gravel, soil, or mulch.
- Softscaping: Installing sod and planting trees or shrubs.
- Equipment Operation: Operating heavy equipment (dependent on experience).
- General Labor: Executing other landscaping and site cleanup duties as required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Active Work: Performing repetitive tasks and standing or moving for long periods.
- Outdoors: Working in various locations and changing weather conditions.
Job Requirements
- Transportation: Must have your own reliable transportation to get to our Timberlea location by 7:00 AM daily, Monday-Friday as scheduled.
- Driver's License: Valid Class 5 driver’s license is strongly desired.
- Safety Gear: CSA-approved steel-toe boots. (Mandatory - all sites)
- Mindset: A positive, reliable attitude and a strong work ethic.
