Precision Castparts Corporation is a leading global supplier to the aerospace industry. We are currently recruiting CNC Lathe Machinist for our PCC Woodbridge Team. A vacancy currently exists for this established position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Setup the machine by using proper tools, setup sheets and programs stored in the designated area. Basic computer knowledge is an asset, Fanuc or Mazak control knowledge an asset.
- Operate machine with proper guarding in place, report any damaged guarding, tool holders, tools etc. After setup is complete, make sure guard for the tool drum is put back in place. Check oil levels of machine and keep it in good condition.
- Make a dry run to check program for errors. Check the first part and make sure that all the dimensions are within tolerance. Check for damaged tool holders and tools (replace if necessary).
- Able to change and modify a program. Change tool length and diameter offsets, fixture and pallet offsets. Modify and grind cutting tools if necessary and use proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency.
- Keep production running by deburring and preparing parts for loading into fixture, and by cleaning parts to load them again. Use time while machine runs as efficiently as possible for checking parts, deburring, tapping, counter boring and cleaning up tools and tool holders from previous setup.
- Prepare tools and fixtures for the next job, get new tools, use regrind tools from the tool crib. Plan ahead when special tools are needed. Put tools into holders, clean holders, make sure tools are in positive cutting condition.
- Follow the company Health and Safety Policy and practice safe working habits,



industrial hygiene and good housekeeping around benches and machines.
- Follow instructions but also make basic decisions in interpretation as they apply to the job
- Follow a schedule and prepare to break or setup a machine as required with minimal batch quantities
- Comply with AS9100D requirements including recording measurements for SPC and effectively clock labor and quantities of parts as completed
- Other duties as assigned as per business needs and are open to be flexed in other departments when assistance is required.

Qualification & Requirements:

- 5 years minimum experience in setup and operation of CNC Lathe
- Must be proficient in Mazatrol Programming
- Experience with DMG ctx a plus
- Familiar with both fusion and matrix controls
- Read and Interpret GD&T;
- Ability to set up bore gauges, verniers and micrometers
- Proficient ability setting up bore gauges, verniers, and micrometers
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with feeds and speeds as they pertain to surface finish and ovality
- Abiliy to operate more than 2 machines at once
- Experience or be willing to learn 5 axis mill turn
- Properly select tooling for specific material and applications
- Be able to use all the available measuring tools (like micrometer, dial gauges, deep micrometer, vernier, measuring block, height gauges).
- Be able to make layouts.
- Full understanding of the proper use of inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, gages, Shadow graph, height stands, indicators, etc.)




- Full understanding of the interpretation of drawings, operation sketch's, and geometric tolerances
- Ability to identify wear of cutting tools (inserts, drills, end mills, boring bars, etc.)
- Ability to change and set cutting tools
- College education in CNC Machining an asset.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
