Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on Building Cleaner & Light Maintenance Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of commercial buildings.

This position combines regular commercial cleaning duties with light building maintenance and seasonal exterior work. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working independently as well as handling a variety of tasks.

This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Commercial Cleaning

- Perform routine cleaning of commercial buildings and common areas.
- Dust surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and other areas as required.
- Maintain clean and presentable spaces throughout assigned properties.
- Complete general cleaning duties and follow established cleaning standards.

Light Building Maintenance

- Replace light bulbs and perform basic lighting maintenance.
- Identify and report building maintenance issues.
- Assist with general upkeep and minor maintenance tasks.
- Help maintain the overall safety and appearance of the properties.

Exterior Maintenance & Seasonal Work

- Perform power washing of exterior surfaces and designated areas.
- Shovel snow from walkways, entrances, and other designated areas.
- Apply salt or ice-melting products to help maintain safe walking surfaces.




- Assist with seasonal property maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and shoveling.
- Able to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, safe properties.
- Basic maintenance skills and the ability to use common tools are an asset.
- Previous commercial cleaning or building maintenance experience is an asset, but not necessarily required.
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are an asset, if required for travel between properties.
