About the Role
We are a busy, collaborative Family Practice and Walk-In Clinic looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical care team on a full-time or part-time basis.
In this role, you will work closely with our physicians and administrative staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. We offer a comprehensive hands-on training period starting as soon as possible to ensure you are fully confident and supported in our clinic’s workflow and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessments & Triage: Perform nursing assessments, history-taking, and patient triage in a scheduled family practice setting.
- Clinical Care & Procedures: Administer vaccines, routine injections, Nitrogen treatments, and wound dressings.
- Vital Signs: Obtain and document vital signs and clinical baseline measurements.
- Physician Support: Assist physicians with minor clinical procedures and patient preparation.
- EHR & Administration: Maintain clear,
accurate electronic patient records and manage inter-office communications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active, unrestricted licensure as an LPN with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia (NSCN).
- Experience: Experience in a Family Practice or outpatient clinic environment is considered an asset, but not required—new graduates and nurses transitioning practice settings are welcome to apply!
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy is required. Full hands-on training will be provided for our specific Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Accuro, and inter-office software.
- Solid communication, clinical assessment, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
