Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced, certified Maintenance Associate – Electrician responsible for electrical maintenance and repairs across the facility. You will support store operations, distribution centres, and refrigeration systems by inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing installations or upgrades.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure secure, efficient operations compliant with codes and safety regulations
- Repair and maintain automated conveyor and warehouse systems
- Troubleshoot and service electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire alarm, and UPS systems
- Repair building and material handling equipment (conveyors, HVAC, doors, generators, etc.)




- Interpret electrical and structural blueprints
- Maintain compliance with provincial electrical codes and Walmart standards
- Support energy efficiency projects like LED upgrades and automation
- Document work, maintenance logs, and parts used
- Respond to emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime
- Promote safety for associates and customers at all times

Qualifications

- Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred) or equivalent
- 3+ years’ electrical experience in commercial/industrial settings
- Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., CSA, Ontario ESA)
- Physically able to lift, climb ladders, and stand long periods
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.09 per hour
