The Opportunity

Hexagon Psychology is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Psychometrist to join our assessment team on a contract basis. In this role, you will administer and score standardized psychological tests under the direction and supervision of our Registered Psychologists, both in person at our Airdrie clinic and virtually through tele-assessment. Assessment is at the core of what we do, and the quality of the data you collect shapes the conclusions and recommendations our clients rely on.

This is an hourly contract position with flexible hours, paid for completed work. You may work on site in Airdrie, remotely with a reliable internet connection and a private workspace, or a combination of both.

Employment Type: Contract (independent contractor), part time or full time

What You Will Do

Test Administration and Scoring

- Administer standardized cognitive, academic, memory, executive functioning, and personality measures following standardized procedures, in person and virtually.
- Score protocols accurately using hand scoring and digital scoring platforms, and check all scores before they are handed off.
- Record detailed behavioural observations during each testing session.

Report Support

- Prepare score summaries and tables for the supervising psychologist.
- Draft behavioural observations and other report sections as directed, written in a formal skilled register.

Client Experience

- Build rapport with clients of all ages, from young children to older adults, so that each person can perform at their best.
- Prepare clients and families for testing days, and manage breaks, pacing, and accommodations as directed by the supervising psychologist.

Professional Practice and Documentation

- Maintain the security of test materials and kits, and follow publisher requirements for their use.
- Complete session documentation in our electronic records system and protect client privacy in line with the Health Information Act (HIA).
- Communicate promptly with supervising psychologists about testing concerns, validity questions, or client risk.

Who You Are

- You are precise: you follow standardized procedures exactly and catch errors before they reach a report.
- You are relational: you put children, teens, and adults at ease and keep them engaged through long testing days.
- You are adaptable: you move comfortably between in person and virtual testing, and between a six year old and an adult in the same week.
- You are a team player: you communicate clearly with supervising psychologists and our administrative team.
- You are principled: you protect client trust and test security, and you keep psychology before business.

Qualifications (Must Haves)
