Position Overview

Augury Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity at a long-term care facility in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

We are seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and dependable RN with experience in long-term care, complex care, or residential healthcare settings. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care, oversee resident health needs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical standards.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to LPNs and Health Care Assistants.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
- Support infection prevention, resident safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Respond to urgent clinical situations and participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable nursing standards, organizational policies,



and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Previous experience in long-term care, residential care, or complex care preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.
- Strong nursing assessment, medication administration, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to complete required background checks, references, and onboarding documentation.
- Availability for rotating shifts and the required contract duration.

Emergency department experience and ACLS certification are not required for this opportunity.
