What You Will Be Doing, as a Steel Labourer:
- Working in a steel manufacturing facility
- Lifting steel products (can be up to 50lbs) with some crane work involved for heavier loads
- Will be trained on various machines including an overhead crane
- Will be using tools like grinders and drills to manufacture products
- Will be using great attention to detail for customer orders
- Will be packing orders
- Other duties as assigned
What You Should Have, as a Steel Labourer:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the same steel industry setting
- Must have experience with hand tools for work
- Crane operation experience a major asset but not required
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be available full time (40+ hours)
- CSA Approved Safety Shoes/Boots
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $20.00 per hour
- Paid weekly
- Chance for permanent hire
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
The Shift You Will Be Working is:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- 7:00am to 3:30pm
Where You Will Be Working, as a Steel Labourer:
- Eastport Blvd (Hamilton)
- May not be bus accessible to some – some walking will be required
