Our Platform Engineering team builds the secure, reusable foundations every product team stands on. We’re hiring a Senior Web Platform Engineer on contract to own the frontend side of that platform.

The opportunity

Product teams shouldn’t each have to work out authentication, sessions, routing, error handling and telemetry on their own. You’ll build the modular Angular foundation that solves those problems once, so many independent teams can ship secure, consistent applications without rebuilding the basics.

What you’ll do

- Build and maintain a modular Angular application foundation and shell that independently developed product and domain apps plug into
- Build reusable frontend SDKs, shared component libraries, templates and integration contracts
- Implement common navigation, routing, application lifecycle, error handling and permission-aware UI patterns
- Integrate securely with enterprise identity providers (Entra ID and others) using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns, including session and token lifecycle behaviour in the browser
- Protect against common web risks such as XSS, CSRF, credential exposure and insecure API access
- Set standard patterns for API integration, configuration, logging and telemetry
- Design for modularity, lazy loading, performance,



accessibility and isolation between apps
- Publish and version shared packages through Azure DevOps Artifacts, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
- Build reference applications, documentation and onboarding material that make the platform easy to adopt
- Use AI coding agents for implementation, refactoring, testing and documentation, and review what they produce as carefully as any other code
- Work closely with architects, cybersecurity and the backend/identity platform engineers so the frontend and backend platforms stay aligned

Contract details

- 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension
- Hybrid, based in Toronto, ON

What you’ll bring

- 7+ years of qualified software development experience
- Strong Angular and TypeScript / JavaScript experience, plus solid HTML and CSS
- Experience building reusable libraries, component libraries, SDKs or shared frontend foundations used by multiple teams
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT, and how they work in the browser
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, primarily AWS
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Strong understanding of browser security




- Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs and modern web application architecture
- Strong automated testing practice (unit, component and end-to-end)
- Hands-on use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar), or a structured AI-assisted delivery method such as AI-DLC

Nice to have

- Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET Core / C#
- Azure DevOps Repos, Pipelines and Artifacts, including publishing npm packages
- OpenTelemetry or frontend observability
- Git and CI/CD experience
