Main Beam Fabrication is seeking an experienced Senior HR / Safety Advisor to take ownership of our HR and Safety function.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage existing systems while also building and improving the policies, procedures, competency programs, training systems, and workflows needed to support a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and continuously improve the company’s HR and safety programs.
- Manage and maintain the company COR program and support internal and external audits.
- Act as the primary administrator for SiteDocs, including forms, workflows, inspections, employee records, corrective actions, and compliance tracking.
- Manage workplace incident and near-miss investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up.
- Coordinate WCB claims, modified work, and return-to-work programs.
- Develop, review, and maintain HR and safety policies, procedures, safe-work practices, forms, and company standards.
- Build and maintain employee competency requirements, assessment tools, training programs, and certification tracking.
- Manage safety training, employee qualifications, ticket expiries, and training records.
- Support recruitment, employee onboarding, performance documentation, attendance, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- Coordinate workplace inspections, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
- Support managers with employee-related HR and safety matters while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
- Monitor HR and safety KPIs, identify trends,



and provide recommendations to management.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready HR and safety records.
- Identify opportunities to improve company processes through technology, automation, and artificial intelligence tools.

Experience & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced HR and safety professional who:

- Has practical experience managing workplace safety and/or HR programs.
- Has experience with COR, incident investigations, WCB claims, and return-to-work programs.
- Has experience developing policies, procedures, training programs, and employee competency systems.
- Is comfortable taking ownership of a department and working independently.
- Can professionally hold managers and employees accountable to required processes.
- Has strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Is comfortable using technology and understands how AI can be used responsibly to improve reporting, documentation, training, analysis, and administrative efficiency.

Strong Assets

- Previous SiteDocs experience
- COR auditing or program administration experience
- WCB claims-management experience
- Experience in construction, fabrication, structural steel, manufacturing, or industrial operations

We are looking for someone who can build strong systems, improve how the company operates, and take ownership of the HR and Safety department as Main Beam continues to grow.

Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
