DKI Windsor-Essex is seeking an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Carpenter / Construction Labourer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction, renovations, and repairs. This position involves a variety of carpentry, construction, and property restoration tasks. We are looking for someone who is versatile, dependable, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of carpentry and renovation tasks, including framing, drywall installation, flooring, tiling, cabinet installation, painting, and finishing work.
- Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to complete work accurately.
- Carry out demolition, removal of damaged materials, site preparation, and reconstruction work.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Complete finishing and restoration work, including trim installation, caulking, painting, and general repairs.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment.
- Assist with material preparation, estimating quantities, and organizing supplies for projects.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving construction materials.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each project.
- Work independently and alongside team members to complete projects efficiently while following workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

- Previous experience in carpentry, renovations, or general construction is required.
- Valid driver's license is required.




- Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials, and renovation practices.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, measurements, and construction drawings.
- Experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of drywall, flooring, tile installation, siding, roofing, masonry, or concrete work is an asset.
- Basic familiarity with plumbing, electrical, or general handyman repairs is an advantage.
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and work on ladders or scaffolding when required.
- Good problem-solving abilities and robust attention to detail.
- Physically capable of performing construction-related work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks as project needs change.
