Role Overview:
As a Marketing Coordinator, you'll play a key role in expanding our platform's reach and impact. Your multifaceted responsibilities will include:
1. Social Media Content & Website Management:
- Craft compelling bilingual captions (English and Chinese).
- Curate visually appealing photos/posts across social media platforms.
- Use and create/layout templates to brand our posts and content
- Create videos and edit videos for social media and YouTube channel
- Implement content scheduling strategies and engagement strategies
- Be responsible for the grid
- Oversee online magazine and website maintenance.
- Ensure up-to-date and visually appealing content on website
2. Community Growth Strategy & Weekly Newsletter
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics for actionable insights.
- Develop and execute strategies to boost social media engagement and following.
- Curate and format content for weekly email campaigns.
- Execute email campaigns (the weekly newsletter and other special blasts) using platforms like Mailchimp.
3. Partnerships and Sales Development
- Identify potential advertisers, sponsors, and collaborators.
- Build and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Explore revenue enhancement and platform support opportunities.
4. Event & Magazine Logistics and Distribution:
- Assist with event logistics and magazine distribution.
- Support in-person events and promotions.
5. Distribution Network Expansion:
- Identify and establish partnerships for magazine distribution.
- Collaborate with potential distribution points.
6. Graphic designing
Requires full command of adobe suite, basic graphic design skills and experience using AI in workflow
6. PR & Awards Calendar Management
- Manage press releases and identify feature-worthy stories.
- Contribute to platform narrative.
- Help prepare press releases
- Maintain and identify calendar of award submissions and opportunities for magazine
- You will have the opportunity to participate in photoshoots and magazine production
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for Chinese culture, history, and traditions
- Minimum 2-3 yrs of in-office experience needed
- Proven social media management and content creation experience.
- High proficiency in English language
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Chinese) for effective communication.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, sales, and partnership building.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with event logistics and distribution strategies.
- Experience with newsletter management and email campaigns.
- Website management and basic design proficiency.
- Innovative problem-solving skills.
- Basic Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
- Proficiency with video creation and editing
- Works well under pressure and competing timelines
