About the Role

Reporting to the Senior VP/CFO, you will lead and supervise the Procurement Operations team, overseeing daily purchasing activities and the processes supporting procurement execution across Gertex's product groups. This hands-on role combines team supervision, operational problem-solving and disciplined follow-through. You will work closely with the Head of Product Strategy to translate approved product, supplier, pricing and inventory strategies into daily execution and escalate matters outside the role's authority.

What You'll Do

- Lead, train and coach the Procurement Operations team, including work assignments, priorities, workload, coverage, performance feedback, service follow-through and support for hiring and onboarding.
- Oversee the purchase-order-to-receipt cycle, supplier confirmations, expediting and at-risk orders, and coordinate supplier quotes, pricing and lead-time information.
- Monitor inventory and replenishment activity within approved strategies and escalate potential stockouts, excess inventory and material demand exceptions.




- Coordinate inbound logistics and support the resolution of supplier invoice, packing-list, bill-of-lading, return-to-vendor and supplier credit issues.
- Maintain accurate supplier-performance information and procurement master data, including product and supplier records, pricing files and customer libraries.
- Maintain procurement procedures, controls and escalation paths and recommend practical improvements based on recurring issues and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Strategy, Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Finance, escalating matters outside approved arrangements or authority limits.

What You Bring

- Manager or team-lead experience in procurement operations, purchasing, supply chain or a comparable order-driven environment, including assigning work, training employees and supporting performance.
- Relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, business, operations or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of purchase-order execution, supplier follow-through, expediting, replenishment, quote coordination and procurement transaction resolution.
- Experience implementing and improving procurement procedures, controls and operational problem-solving.




- Experience using an ERP system and common business software, including Microsoft Office, to manage procurement information and reporting.
- Solid analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow through in a high-volume environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate with suppliers and teams across the business.
