Who We Are

We’re a team that puts customers first, invests in our people, and takes pride in being part of the local community. As we grow into home services, we’re looking for a friendly, confident people person to help homeowners discover our Healthy Homes program.

What’s in it for You

- Real opportunities to grow and advance within the company
- Hands-on learning and product knowledge training – no experience needed
- A part-time schedule
- Employee discount on retail products after the first three months
- Employee and Family Assistance Program to support your well-being and that of your family
- A team culture built on three core values: Customers First, Inspired People, and Community Connection

About the Role

Healthy Homes is our home maintenance subscription program. Twice a year, one of our team members visits each subscriber’s home to take care of basic maintenance tasks, like replacing smoke detector batteries and light bulbs, so homeowners can stay on top of the small jobs that are easy to put off.

As the Healthy Homes Sales Associate, you’ll run the Healthy Homes desk at our Mission store and be the face of the program in the store. Your main goal is to sell subscriptions: talk with homeowners about what the program includes, help them see how it fits their home, and sign them up. You don’t book or do the in-home visits yourself; your focus is promoting the program and getting sign-ups. You’re the person who gets customers excited about the program and makes joining easy.

This part-time role reports to the Installation Sales Manager and works in the store.

You’ll work closely with the retail sales floor, the contractor desk and the Healthy Homes service team so that every customer who could benefit from the program hears about it.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Running the Healthy Homes desk during your shifts and keeping it welcoming, organized and stocked with program information
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner, in accordance with our greeting policy, and starting conversations with homeowners about the program
- Using our customer service approach – Greet, Qualify, Recommend, and Close – to understand each customer’s home and explain how Healthy Homes can help
- Explaining clearly what a subscription includes, what it doesn’t include, and how the twice-yearly visits work
- Signing up recent subscribers and recording their sign-up information accurately in our CRM
- Answering phone and email questions about the program and following up with customers who showed interest but haven’t signed up yet
- Working with the retail sales floor and contractor desk so they can spot homeowners who may be interested and refer them to the desk
- Supporting in-store promotions and events for the program,

and staying proactively informed on program details and current offers
- Tracking your sign-ups and follow-ups in the CRM, and sharing what customers are asking about with the Installation Sales Manager
- Pitching in on the sales floor when the desk is quiet, as requested
- Always working in compliance with WorkSafe standards

What We’re Looking For

No prior sales or building materials experience? No problem – we’re happy to train the right person. Here’s what will set you up for success:

- A genuine passion for customer service and making people feel welcome
- Confidence starting conversations with people you don’t know, and a friendly, low-pressure way of explaining what we offer
- Comfort talking about simple home maintenance – you don’t need to be handy, but you should be curious and willing to learn
- Self-motivation to promote the program and follow up on leads without being reminded
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Organized and detail oriented, especially with customer information
- Comfort with computers, phone and email; experience with a CRM is an asset
- Availability to work a part-time schedule of [Hours]; shifts are posted weekly on the schedule
- Previous sales, customer service or retail experience is an asset
- Experience selling memberships, subscriptions or services is an asset

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and come be part of a team that’s proud of where they work and who they serve.
