POSITION

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Apprentice for our Cornwall facility.

SCOPE OF POSITION The Apprentice reports to the Production Supervisor. Duties include trouble-shooting machine breakdowns, implementing root cause repairs, preventative maintenance and machinery modifications. Apprentice work on high-speed machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as perform general building maintenance. Given the food industry, must follow/support Food Safety and Quality Guidelines.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS





- Familiarity with SQF and HACCP principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and foster teamwork.
- Honest, motivated, disciplined, energetic, and punctual.
- Strong ability to prioritize, with a sense of responsibility and initiative.
- Collaborative, available, good judgment, self-motivated, proactive, methodical, organized, and versatile.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
