About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for a father recovering from a stroke he experienced in 2025. While his recovery has been progressing well, he's experiencing memory loss and some cognitive decline that requires supportive care. He's independent with mobility and personal care but needs assistance staying on track with daily routines and medications. He would benefit greatly from cognitive stimulation and regular check-ins to help him maintain his independence while ensuring his safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning
- Provide medication reminders and help manage his medication schedule
- Offer memory prompts and gentle redirection for cognitive support
- Light housekeeping and tidying to maintain a clean, safe setting
- Provide companionship and engage in activities that offer cognitive stimulation
- Occasional transportation for errands or appointments
- Monitor safety and well-being throughout visits
- Communicate regularly with family about his progress and any concerns

What We're Looking For:

We need someone who is calm, patient, and brings positive energy to each visit. The ideal caregiver has experience with stroke recovery and memory care, understands cognitive support techniques, and can provide gentle prompts without being overbearing. You should be reliable, take initiative when needed, and communicate clearly with the family.



We're looking for someone who respects his independence while providing the structure and support he needs. English-speaking is required. This is the family's first time receiving professional care, so someone who can help them feel comfortable with the process is essential.

Schedule:

The family is looking for a few visits each week, approximately 2-4 days with shifts lasting a few hours each day. Flexibility with scheduling is appreciated as they determine the best routine. Morning and afternoon availability is preferred to help with meal preparation and medication management during key times of the day.
