Vineyard Worker - Seasonal

Frind Winery Ltd. is seeking 54 full-time seasonal Vineyard Workers to work in our vineyards located in the Vernon, Kelowna, and Osoyoos areas from February to December 2027.

Position Details

- Position: Vineyard Worker – Seasonal
- Number of Positions: 54
- Employment Period: February to December 2027
- Hours: 40–60 hours per week, depending on the season and operational requirements
- Wage: $18.25 to $19.75 per hour
- Work Locations: Vernon, Kelowna, and Osoyoos areas

Responsibilities:

- Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and maintain grapevines.
- Prune vines, remove unwanted shoots, and perform shoot and crop thinning.
- Tuck, tie, and secure grapevines to support proper growth and development.
- Maintain grapevine canopies and guide growing shoots as required.
- Install and maintain vineyard netting.
- Monitor irrigation and apply water as required for vine growth.
- Apply fertilizers and crop protection products according to instructions and safety procedures.
- Remove weeds and maintain clean vineyard rows and work areas.
- Harvest grapes and sort and grade produce according to quality standards.
- Load, unload, lift, carry, and transport grape bins, crates, supplies, and harvested produce.
- Assist with vineyard repairs and general maintenance.
- Operate and maintain agricultural equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and hand tools, as required.




- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform other general vineyard duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- No previous vineyard experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valuable attention to detail, organizational skills, and a reliable work ethic.
- Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, rainy, and wet conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Experience operating tractors, sprayers, dusters, or other agricultural equipment is an asset but is not required.
- Working as part of a vineyard team during seasonal operations.
