Truck Driver - Class 1 transports freight safely and reliably, coordinating deliveries and handling cargo with care. The role involves vehicle checks, route planning, loading support, and clear communication with dispatch and customers. You’ll help keep shipments moving and give colleagues dependable updates on delivery progress.
Responsibilities
- Drive commercial vehicles on assigned routes and deliver freight according to schedules and handling instructions.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, report defects, and complete accurate trip and delivery records.
- Coordinate loading and unloading, using a forklift or other appropriate equipment when needed.
- Communicate delays, route changes, and delivery status to dispatch and customers; follow safe operating practices.
Skills
Required: Practical commercial driving capability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and clear communication support safe trips, accurate records, and reliable freight handling. Preferred: Forklift operation,
heavy equipment operation, and basic automotive repair skills are helpful strengths for supporting cargo handling, recognizing vehicle issues, and coordinating effectively with colleagues.
Pay: $48,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
