Minami Toronto is looking to grow our team with passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. We are looking for Kitchen cooks to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Execute dishes up to restaurant standard and in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring food and safety protocol is met
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of prep at all times to ensure a smooth service flow
- Ensuring quality checks of dishes are up to restaurant standard
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation including the line station, preparation area and refrigeration equipment
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
- Closing duties (i.e. garbage disposal, sweep/mop kitchen floors)
- Report to the Head Chef and Sous chef, and being eager to learn and prepares,



innovative and signature dishes served at Minami.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years experience in high-paced kitchen environment and/or we are willing to train the right candidate
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and knife skills
- Experience in Japanese cuisine is an asset
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- A passion for Japanese and Asian culinary art and flavours
- Ability to handle stress, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated and quick learner.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
