Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Butcher to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality meat products for our wholesale customers, ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in butchery, and handling meat products with precision and care. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards
- Ensure all meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment following health guidelines
- Experience with sausage making, bandsaw, burger/patty making, portion cutting
- Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Operate slicing machines, grinders, and other butchery tools safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to food handling, equipment use, and workplace safety
Qualifications
- 3-5 Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting, is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform precise meat cutting and preparation tasks with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of packaging requirements for fresh meat products
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
