I am a male quadriplegic looking to hire for TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY EVENINGS from 10:15 PM until 11:15 PM EVERY WEEK. If you are interested in committing to only 1 of these days per week, or both days per week, please apply!

WAGE: $28 for the one-hour shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION: These are short 60-minute bed-time assistance shifts involving personal care (transferring from wheelchair to bed using a ceiling lift, positioning in bed etc.). Super simple.

START DATE: as soon as available.

LOCATION: Frontier Drive in Kitchener (Doon area) -- just off the 401 near Conestoga College.

THIS IS NOT A CASH JOB. I am funded through the provincial Direct Funding program, which is a program that allows individuals with disabilities living in our own homes to become employers of our own attendants. See dfontario.ca if you’d like to read more about it.

Please contact me for further info. The shifts are not rocket science. While prior experience is a nice bonus, experience is not a requirement as I provide full training. I operate under a self-directed care model, which means that you technically don’t need to know how to do anything or remember what order to do things in – I will always be there to direct you and tell you exactly what I need next every step of the way.
