LCV AND PDIC CERTIFIED OPERATOR WANTED

Portage Transport is currently looking for an experienced Class 1 or 1A - LCV operator, for transportation of freight throughout Canada.

The successful candidate will work with dispatch to ensure freight delivery is on time, and must adhere to all safety guidelines, load limits, and DOT requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Completion of pre and post trip inspections
- ELOG and ELD compliancy / experience is considered an asset
- Complete daily route records; maintain correct Hours of Service and track inventory; ensure that all necessary documentation with respect to freight is filled and submitted correctly
- Engaging with customers during pick-up and delivery
- Safe operation of the vehicle
- Other duties as required Qualifications and Skills

Responsibilities:

- Driver's License (Class 1 or 1A)
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Ability to Operate Manual and Automatic Transmission
- Current and verifiable LCV and PDIC Certificate
- Minimum 2 years of LCV experience
- Clean driving abstract
- Transparent and professional communication skills
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
