As an established home builder with communities throughout Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, and Chestermere, we're continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Drafting Team Lead to grow with us.

We're looking for someone who knows residential drafting inside and out, enjoys tackling technical challenges, and gets satisfaction from helping others succeed.

This is a senior-level, hands-on leadership role where you'll continue doing what you love - drafting and problem-solving - while taking on greater responsibility for guiding and mentoring the team, overseeing drawing quality, coordinating production, and helping the team grow and succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Drafting Team Lead, you'll play an important role in keeping our drafting team organized, supported, and producing high-quality, construction-ready drawings.

You'll be someone the team can turn to for guidance, someone who can see the bigger picture when juggling priorities, and someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and work through a challenge.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead by example: Continue producing residential drawings while providing day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and technical support to the drafting team.
- Keep things moving: Coordinate drafting assignments, balance workloads, and monitor production targets, project priorities, and deadlines to keep projects on track.
- Be the go-to technical resource: Provide guidance on residential construction practices, building codes, municipal requirements, drafting standards, and best practices.
- Take pride in the details: Oversee drafting quality and technical accuracy, reviewing drawings, identifying potential construction issues, and providing clear direction and feedback to the team.
- Solve problems: Independently lead the resolution of complex technical challenges,



applying advanced knowledge of residential construction, building codes, and engineering requirements
- Support projects from design through construction: Respond to construction inquiries, and help resolve drawing-related issues as they arise.
- Share your knowledge: Mentor junior and intermediate drafters, provide constructive feedback, and help build confidence and technical expertise within the team.
- Help us get better: Contribute ideas and improvements to drafting standards, construction details, Revit templates, and internal processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Lend a hand where needed: Support estimating take-offs, cross-training, and other technical or departmental responsibilities as business needs require.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings a strong technical background, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in helping a team succeed.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements

- Advanced proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Minimum 8 years of residential drafting experience preferred, including demonstrated senior-level responsibilities.
- Diploma or certificate in Architectural Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, applicable building codes, and municipal requirements.
- Experience preparing residential building permit and construction drawing packages.
- Proven experience providing technical leadership, mentoring drafters, reviewing drawings, or coordinating drafting production.

Position Details

Schedule

· Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Work Location: Calgary - In Person (Beltline location beginning January 2027)

Salary: Dependent on experience
