We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plow Truck Operator (Subcontractor) to join our winter operations team for the snow season. The successful candidate will be responsible for snow removal and ice management services to ensure client properties remain protected and accessible during winter weather events.

This position requires availability throughout the winter season, including overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions.

The Plow Truck Operator will be entrusted with independently managing assigned properties throughout the winter season. This includes monitoring weather conditions, checking for snow accumulation, and ensuring customers in the Taber and Coaldale service areas receive timely snow and ice management services as outlined in their contracts. The successful candidate must be dependable, self-motivated, and capable of making service decisions without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

- -Operate a plow truck safely and efficiently during snow and ice events.
- -Complete assigned routes and service locations in a timely manner.
- -Monitor weather forecasts, track snowfall events, and proactively inspect assigned properties for snow accumulation and icy conditions.
- -Take full responsibility for snow and ice management of assigned properties in the Taber and Coaldale areas, ensuring all sites are serviced in accordance with customer contracts without requiring direct instruction or dispatch from management.




- -Determine when snow clearing and ice control services are required based on contract specifications and property conditions, and perform services promptly to maintain compliance with client agreements.
- -Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- -Report equipment issues, property damage, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
- -Maintain communication with management throughout shifts.
- -Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and client service standards.
- -Complete required documentation, timesheets, and service records accurately.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on the subcontractor's qualifications, experience, and demonstrated ability. The compensation package may include:

- Up to $2,500 per month from November through March, in addition to the set monthly rate you will earn up to $26.00 per hour for any hours worked.
- Days when the subcontractor is unavailable during the contract period will be deducted from the monthly retainer at a rate of $80.00 per day.
- Any work performed outside the November-March contract period will be compensated at $25.00 per hour plus an $80.00 daily rate, where applicable.

Note: Compensation and retainer amounts may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience, qualifications, equipment knowledge, and overall suitability for the position.

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
