Overview

Bay Mazda is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Operations Attendant.

This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of our Service Department by ensuring customer vehicles are cleaned and presented to a high standard, assisting with seasonal tire storage and retrieval, maintaining dealership cleanliness, and providing general operational support.

The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, and be comfortable performing a variety of tasks in a busy dealership environment. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and willing to assist wherever needed to help ensure a positive experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Vehicle Cleaning and Customer Wash Bay

- Perform complimentary vehicle washes and light interior cleaning for Service Department customers.
- Wash, vacuum, clean windows, and wipe down vehicle interiors as required.
- Perform additional vehicle cleaning and detailing duties when needed.
- Ensure customer vehicles are handled with care and returned in a clean, presentable condition.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the customer wash bay, including equipment, cleaning products, and supplies.
- Operate vehicle washing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Seasonal Tire Storage and Handling

- Assist with the movement, organization, storage, and retrieval of customers' seasonal tires and wheels.
- Transport tire and wheel assemblies between the Service Department and designated storage areas.
- Ensure tire sets are properly identified, organized, and stored in their designated locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tire storage area.
- Assist Service Department staff with tire inventory organization and retrieval as required.
- Perform the physical handling and lifting of tires and wheels while following proper safety procedures.





Vehicle and Lot Maintenance

- Assist with moving and parking customer and dealership vehicles in designated areas.
- Maintain an organized and presentable dealership lot, including properly arranging vehicles.
- Safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Assist with vehicle preparation and positioning as requested by Service Department staff.
- Ensure vehicles are handled responsibly and parked safely.

General Service Department Support

- Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the Service Department and surrounding work areas.
- Perform general janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and keeping common work areas tidy.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the wash bay, tire storage areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Use cleaning products, custodial equipment, and other tools safely and appropriately.
- Assist Service Advisors, technicians, and other dealership employees with general non-mechanical support duties as required.
- Follow dealership policies, workplace safety procedures, and established operating practices.

Customer Service

- Interact with customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Assist customers with general inquiries and direct them to the appropriate dealership personnel when necessary.
- Treat customer vehicles and personal property with care and respect.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience through attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous experience in automotive washing,



vehicle cleaning, detailing, or a similar automotive support role is preferred.
- Experience with seasonal tire handling, tire storage, or warehouse organization is considered an asset.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or general facility maintenance experience is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow instructions from Service Department management.
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and safely lifting and moving tires and wheels.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to assist with a variety of departmental responsibilities.
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to confidently and safely drive vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
