Job Overview

- We are seeking a welcoming, organized Host/Hostess/Expo to help create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This role combines guest reception and seating with coordinating orders between the dining room and kitchen.
- The ideal candidate brings strong customer service, communication, and hospitality skills. Experience in food service, restaurants, hotels, or guest services is helpful.
- This position is paid. Training is provided on restaurant procedures and applicable service systems.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly, manage the waitlist, and coordinate seating based on table availability and service flow.
- Answer guest questions, communicate wait times, and support a positive experience from arrival through departure.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and delivered to the correct tables.
- Assist with serving, food preparation, and meal preparation as needed, following established procedures.
- Use the POS system to enter or check orders and process transactions; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
- Support cashiering and cash handling accurately when assigned.
- Follow food handling and food safety practices,



including proper hygiene and safe handling of food and equipment.
- Help maintain clean, orderly dining and service areas, including completing routine cleaning tasks.
- Communicate guest needs, special requests, and service updates clearly to the team.

Requirements

- Strong customer service, communication skills, and a friendly, skilled approach to guests and coworkers.
- Ability to stay organized, attentive, and composed in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Willingness to assist with a range of front- and back-of-house tasks, including cleaning and basic food preparation.
- Food service experience, restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or serving experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, or cash handling is helpful; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, cooking, or meal preparation is beneficial.
- Hotel experience, guest services, hospitality, or barista experience is also welcome.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions, service standards, and safety procedures.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
