We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a wood and furniture manufacturing organization in Burnaby, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. In this role, you will help keep incoming payments, account records, and reconciliations accurate while supporting the finance team in a busy, collaborative environment. This opportunity is well suited to someone who brings strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and confidence working with high transaction volumes across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

- Record and allocate customer payments accurately across several company entities and account structures.
- Prepare daily deposit summaries, post incoming cheque and electronic payments, and verify that transactions are reflected correctly in financial records.
- Review banking activity regularly, identify unmatched receipts, and investigate variances to ensure timely resolution.
- Reconcile customer ledgers and accounts receivable balances to maintain complete and accurate records.
- Assist with collection efforts by following up on overdue invoices, issuing payment reminders, and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Produce customer statements and accounts receivable reporting to support internal review and decision-making.
- Maintain organized documentation and contribute to improvements that strengthen accounts receivable processes and efficiency.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or a closely related accounting function.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.




- Hands-on experience using Oracle or another large-scale enterprise resource planning system.
- Strong background in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and payment processing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for analysis, tracking, and reporting tasks.
- Experience working with multi-currency transactions and multiple legal entities.
- Clear communication skills, strong accuracy, and the ability to work independently within a team setting.
- Exposure to manufacturing or distribution environments is considered an asset.
