Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced experienced glass installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation processes, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. You will be responsible for overseeing installation projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and mentoring junior installers. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Install mirrors, showers, glass partitions as per blueprint and selections provided.
- Drive from site to site
- Load vehicles and transport glass products for installation sites
- Ensure all installations are completed safely, correctly, and to company standards
- Inspire and motivate the crew to achieve team goals and maintain strong performance
- Conduct final checks on installation sites to verify quality and completion
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installation (as if we weren’t there)
- Collaborate with clients or site contacts in a professional and courteous manner
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and offer practical solutions when needed
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively to the shelving supervisor
- Train and support junior installers during projects, where needed
Skills
- Proven experience in installation work with a strong understanding of construction principles.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized installation equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver’s license is a must
